What is DBS Import in Tahiti?
DBS Import is the import division of DBS Services, a trading house based in Papeete since 2020. We bring into French Polynesia five categories of products selected in Asia: electric vehicles, LED screens, solar systems, injectable aesthetics and medical equipment. Tailored sourcing for everything else.
What are import lead times from Asia to Tahiti?
Between 8 and 16 weeks depending on category and departure port. Sea freight Asia → Papeete takes 4 to 6 weeks, plus factory production (2 to 6 weeks) and customs/delivery (1 to 2 weeks). We consolidate when possible to optimize costs.
Does DBS also handle customs clearance in Papeete?
Yes. Our offer is end-to-end: Asia selection, factory quality control, sea freight, Papeete customs, registration (for vehicles), final delivery. You don't handle anything yourself — we send a weekly status report on the file.
Can you import a product not in the catalog?
